Agriculture Victoria is offering 10 scholarships for people with an interest in established pest animal and plants to build their community leadership skills.
The initiative will support aspiring leaders with an interest in biosecurity and agriculture to undertake the Victorian Regional Community Leadership Program (VRCLP).
Delivered as part of the Weeds and Rabbits Project, the initiative will develop candidates’ leadership potential, confidence and networks through regionally-relevant, experiential learning programs. It will establish a new network of leaders with the skills and connections to make a positive difference in how pests and weeds are managed in their community.
Successful applicants will work in or show a genuine interest in biosecurity and agriculture, with a particular interest in widely established pest animal and plants. The scholarships, valued at up to $6,240 each, will cover the cost of candidates’ participation in one of the VRCLP’s 10 local regional community leadership programs.
The programs are delivered on a regional basis (e.g. Goulburn-Murray, Northern Mallee, Loddon-Murray etc.).
