Funding from VRAN has helped a Gippsland community group share the message on rabbit control techniques.

The Gippsland Plains Conservation Management Network received a community grant to support local rabbit action initiatives. Partnering with several local Landcare groups and DELWP, the network were able to host a pest plant and animal stall at the East Gippsland Field Days.

Visitors were able to see demonstrations of a range of control techniques and get expert local advice on managing rabbits as part of an integrated approach with other pest species.

The group are continuing to work with local landholders and agencies to boost the rabbit control message and support mapping through the PestSmart app.
