VRAN is very pleased to be able to support the Corinella community to raise awareness of rabbit management.

Located on eastern shore of Western Port Bay, near Phillip Island, Corinella Foreshore Reserve is an area of coastal Crown Land that covers about 30 hectares encircling the township of Corinella.

The Foreshore Reserve Committee used the VRAN funding to run a number of local awareness raising events, sharing information with locals about rabbit impacts and control options. A field day included baiting and fumigating demonstrations from VRAN mentor Tim Bloomfield.

The Committee have since completed a baiting program, and are supporting private landowners with rabbit control.
